Refund Policy
When fees are refundable, when they are not, and how to raise a request.
Last updated: 29 July 2026
Scope
This policy applies to professional fees paid to Patel Tax Advisors for tax, accounting, compliance, and advisory services. It does not apply to government fees, statutory levies, or third-party charges, which are described separately below.
Before Work Commences
If you cancel an engagement before we have started work, any advance fee paid is refunded in full. Let us know in writing at info@pateltaxadvisors.com and we will process it.
After Work Has Commenced
Once work has begun, fees are refundable on a pro-rata basis for the portion of the engagement not yet performed. We will share a short summary of the work completed and the corresponding fee retained so the calculation is transparent.
Government and Third-Party Fees
Statutory fees, portal charges, digital signature certificate costs, and other amounts paid to government departments or third parties are non-refundable once paid, because we cannot recover them ourselves.
Completed Filings
Fees for a return or form that has been successfully filed and acknowledged are not refundable, as the service has been delivered. If a filing contains an error caused by us, we will correct and re-file it at no additional charge.
Service Not Delivered
If we fail to deliver an agreed service and the failure is attributable to us, you are entitled to a full refund of the fee for that service. Delays caused by information not being provided to us in time, or by government portal downtime, do not fall into this category.
How to Request a Refund
Email info@pateltaxadvisors.com with your name, the service concerned, the payment reference, and the reason for the request. We acknowledge every request within 3 business days and aim to resolve it within 10 business days.
Processing Time
Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method. Bank processing typically takes 5 to 10 business days after we initiate the refund.
Disputes
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of a refund request, write to us and we will review it personally. Any unresolved dispute is subject to the governing law and jurisdiction set out in our Terms of Service.
